It’s exciting to see our Wolverines experience adventures in the summer. Here are some of them on an *EF Tour with our Librarian, Ms. Powell, and Mrs. Sully. (*EF Tours are not affiliated with Wakeland nor FISD.)

We may have missed a couple, but congratulations to our staff who received their FISD 5, 10, 15, and 20 year pins at yesterday’s staff gathering. Now, they (and others) are enjoying a well-deserved summer break! 🧡💙🧡💙

From the fields and courts to the hallways, auditoriums, and classrooms, the Class of 2026 brought their large personality and uniqueness with them. The imprint that they have left on Wakeland is vast, and we know they are bringing all of that joy and fire with them into their futures. We will miss you Seniors, but you will always be Wolverines. Forever Orange and Blue! 🧡💙

Several classes have shown an ongoing commitment to learning, even during the last week of school.
In GT American Studies, The 6th Floor Museum rep reviewed JFK’s presidency, walked through the day of his assassination, and examined the correlating evidence. Then, students worked in groups to build arguments and debate multiple theories.
For Ms. Norwood’s band classes, the practice was bell-to-bell, proving that dedication is not just a buzz word.
And, in English 1, students put their Shakespeare knowledge to the test with some Romeo & Juliet trivia games.
Excellent work, Wolverines! 1 more day! 🧡💙
