Born in 2010 from watercolor, acrylic, and vellum on paper.
Inspired by buildings mid-becoming—
their bare skeletons exposed,
all structure, no walls yet.
A moment suspended between what was
and what might still rise.

This piece will be available during the Let It Go Performance 🤍

A piece of Marina’s journey—watercolor and spray paint on paper, created in Dallas in 2010 during her Valley View Mall days. This artwork will be gifted during Let It Go Performance.

Created in the spaces in between —
between land and ocean,
between breath and stillness,
between holding on and letting go.
Spaces-In-Between was made during Marina’s Marin Headlands residency and will soon be released during her Let It Go Performance & Auction at Ktchn28, Frisco.

As the year turns, we gather to slow down.
To release what we’ve been carrying.
To rest in the space between.
And to begin again.

We invite you to a New Year Festival at Ktchn28 — a three-part journey of letting go, stillness, and renewal, open to our community across different moments and moods.

LET IT GO | Sat, Jan 3 | 5PM
An intimate art performance and live auction by Marina,
releasing 20 years of artwork around the fire.

INK & TEA NIGHT | Wed, Jan 7 | 8:30PM
A slow, meditative evening of ink, breath, and warm tea.

BEGIN AGAIN | Sun, Jan 18 | 10AM–4PM
A joyful New Year celebration for children and families,
filled with creativity, connection, and small rituals of renewal.
Come for one gathering or move through all three.
Each is its own moment. Together, they form a beginning.

We’re honored to share something truly special at Ktchn28.
Marina, the heart of our studio, is hosting a one-of-a-kind art performance: LET IT GO —
an evening of release, gratitude, and new beginnings.
For the first time, she is letting go of artwork created over the past 20 years,
and offering these pieces to the community that has shaped her journey.
Guests are invited to choose a piece that resonates with them
and become part of its next chapter.
Saturday, January 3 • 5:00 PM
Open to adults and children.
A gentle, powerful night we hope you’ll share with us ✨
