Question: Is anyone else welding sanitary stainless parts without backing gas? .06" material thickness. I'm shocked at how good these turned out.

Little mirror repair I did a few years back. I jump on every opportunity to challenge myself, or to learn a new skill. This 10-32 PEM nut repair was a fun challenge, I was able to fuse weld both sides after it was knocked out during fabrication. Stay hungry my friends!

Stainless tube to sheet for this TIG Tuesday. This part gets a significant amount of welding, the main objective is preventing distortion. Various fittings all welded on the same side presents unique challenges. We've got them dialed and coming out flat as a board! Developing processes for parts like these is a real challenge, but a treat when it all comes together.
