It has been quite the week!
I keep being reminded of the phrase “simple doesn’t always mean easy”.
At several points during the process of putting this program together I felt like stopping because it would have been MUCH easier. And once the ball was rolling I had to push through because I believe that this offers something that simply doesn’t exist anywhere else and will serve as a valuable resource for so many.
I curated this program out of my experiences on the road of getting jobs in the music world and taking auditions. I’ve had coffee shop jobs, taught in a variety of settings, worked in a cubicle in arts admin, and of course played a lot (and continue to do so). There were resources I needed that weren’t easily available. I sought them out actively or was lucky enough to stumble on them. There was more required of me than I learned in school to survive and thrive in the music world. That’s why you’ll see so much covered in the Violin Lab.
I’ve learned a lot along the way putting this together and will continue to grow what is available on ArtistEmpowered’s website as well as present future Lab programs.
