Last night was my last summer class and we painted sand dollars. We were missing a couple people in the final photo, but it was a wonderful group of families and friends across all the generations. ❤️
Time to shift gears to fall. If you haven't seen it, the new Island Rec guide is out. There is a photo of my upcoming All Ages art classes below, but don't forget, I have my after-school kinder-2nd and 3rd-5th grades painting classes. We also added a new 2nd-5th grade monthly crafting group.

Wizard Arts and Crafts Camp ended with potions class. We bottled some make-believe potions, then made some "real life" potions - bath bombs and slime.
I forgot to get photos of most of Wednesday and Thursday's activities, but our time turners/horcruxes/amulets turned out fantastic, as did our dragons eggs, snitches, and flying keys.

Day 2 of Wizard Arts and Crafts Camp took us to Herbology class. We made air dry clay mandrakes (that we'll paint tomorrow), then spent the rest of the time free building with clay or making more of yesterday's projects. Tomorrow is magical creatures.

Day 1 of Wizard Arts and Craft Camp! The students were greeted upon arrival with an acceptance letter at the end of the Rec House ramp. Once inside, the "Choosing of the Lantern" ceremony began and everyone was sorted into houses. After creating a house pennant, everyone could choose their own house to decorate their Discovery Journal and tiles. Tomorrow is Enchanted Plants and Fungi.

Today we kicked off Mini Makers Arts and Crafts Camp, which is a crash course in sellable crafty products. We made resin suncatchers, word decor, and created pendants and earrings for jewelry day. I can't wait to share more photos of these when they are dry!

Today was our final day of Underwater Adventure Arts and Crafts Camp! Look at the amazing bottle and wire fish the campers made! Thank you to all the parents who let their kiddos spend the week with me. Thank you to Melanie Wilson for being my wonderful assistant. And thank you to Island Rec for co-hosting with me and letting me use their facilities.

We are halfway through Underwater Adventure Arts and Crafts Camp! Today we completed our koi pond painting and our glass chip creatures from Monday and Tuesday were dry enough to go home. We started our woven fish and put the finishing touches on the jellyfish (which will hopefully go home tomorrow). Early finishers tried thier hand at zendoodles.

Underwater Adventure Arts and Crafts camp started today! My small, but mighty group of 8 made faux resin glass chip ocean creatures, painted the dome of their jellyfish and the background of their koi pond painting, and did sidewalk art during wiggle break.
