Are you certified to teach and proctor ServSafe? This ServSafe: Food Safety and Sanitation workshop covers key food safety practices to prevent foodborne illness and follows the ServSafe Manager, 7th Edition textbook, which must be read before attending. Ideal for Food Service and Hospitality instructors, this training offers certification or recertification. Those who pass the exam will receive a certificate valid for five years in California.

Our third FCS Curriculum & Strategies Workshop welcomed ten FCS educators in San Bernardino today. Teachers learned tools for teaching financial literacy, grant writing and program funding, FCCLA resources, and mental health. Thank you to our presenters Leah Bratcher and Priscilla Burns for a dynamic day!

Our Fresno FCS Curriculum and Strategies Workshop today was a huge success. Teachers learned about grant funding, financial literacy, curriculum resources, and set goals for their programs. We can’t wait to host the workshop again next month in San Bernardino.

Our Developing Flavors Culinary Arts Workshop was a perfect weekend for these thirty culinary teachers. We made mother sauces, salsas, dressings, marshmallows, and tempered chocolate. The chefs at .columbia.college shared so much industry knowledge and were fantastic hosts.

We’re spreading the word about becoming a Family & Consumer Sciences Teacher at the Fresno ROP Career Tech Expo. Thank you to our FCCLA State Officers from Madera High School for their great support.

We wrapped up our 1st Annual FCCLA Advisor Boot Camp today in Sacramento. 19 FCCLA Advisors gathered for two days to collaborate, learn tips and tricks for STAR Events, National Programs, Fundraising, Traveling with Members, Perkins Funding, and more! Our advisors truly ventured into the wilderness and got in shape to be ready to lead their chapters this year.

Get connected with California FCCLA advisors at the inaugural FCCLA Advisor Boot Camp. This training will allow veteran and new advisors to learn the ins and outs of California FCCLA and will go far beyond the basics of what is taught at New Advisor Training. Attendees will review and learn about membership and chapter engagement, the events planned for the year, and recognition opportunities for the chapter at the state and national levels. You will also hear experienced advisors' recommendations and how to have another successful year with California FCCLA.

Advisor Boot Camp will be held in Sacramento at the California Department of Education, September 11–12, 2025.

We wrapped up Leadership & Management Conference by awarding three schools with the Program of Excellence Award and learning from five amazing individuals during our Business & Industry Panel. We can’t wait to see everyone next year in Santa Rosa for our 2026 Leadership & Management Conference.

Our 40th annual FCS Leadership & Management Conference is underway! Our teachers have explored the Original Farmers Market in Los Angeles, participated in workshops, learned about trends in AI, and collaborated on reviewing standards. Congratulations to our FCS Teacher of the Year Tiffany from Centennial High School and our FCS Business and Industry Friend of the Year Chef Jerry from LA Trade Tech College.
