Meet Dolores Ayala (MA β23), a dual language immersion 4th grade teacher at Centennial Elementary and one of Fresno County's 2026 Terrific Teachers! ππ
When asked about the honor, Dolores shared, "I was not expecting to receive an award for doing what the Lord gifted me to do!"
Her favorite part of her job is seeing her students grow. Many of them have grown academically moving up 2 or more grade levels in their iReady diagnostic assessments and others have grown in their confidence, self-regulation and social-emotional wellness.
FPU's impact: "FPU helped me realize that teaching is a beautiful calling that can touch studentsβ lives in so many different ways. Not only was I taught how to support my students as they work towards mastery in our Common Core standards, I was also taught to be innovative and continue to foster my own love for learning to be a great role model for my students."
