These high school graduating seniors ALL have GPAs ABOVE 4.0 to illustrate their academic successes! ALSO they ALL are have earned the California Seal of Bi-literacy which proves that each is equally as academically competent in their native language and in English! At one time each of these students could speak little to no English, and has risen to academic success, first in high school, then they will now reach similar successes in higher education. Year 36 in my educational career has begun!

With the support of my wife and family, and an amazing team of educators, we are planning and organizing to serve our client schools and school districts, this year!!

Fourteen amazing educators are on our team to currently serve thirteen school districts in the Central Valley of California, along with four islands of Hawaii!

We are excited to work with our new clients this year, along with long time partners in education. Our work supporting school administrators and teachers as they educate English Learners, is our passion!

We covet your prayers as we go forward to support immigrant students, students in poverty, students whose native language is not English, and all those who will benefit from our work!

This morning, a group of GREAT middle school teachers at Parlier Junior High School and I talked about HOW TO USE ZOOM to promote academic conversations with students! Thanks for all your hard work in this unique teaching environment!

Since 2011, our company, The English Learner Group, Inc. has sponsored an annual college scholarship for graduating seniors that are Certified Bilinguals, and who are off to further pursuits. More than $50,000 has been donated to this fund since our company's inception. This year, we will have our FIRST formal fundraiser!

Come join us in Madera, for a four-person Scramble Golf Tournament. Lunch, carts, practice balls, and a "bag of goodies" are included! Mulligans and raffles prizes available! (You could win a weekend at a Cabin at Shaver Lake, OR a dinner for you and a guest at Ovidio's Italian Restaurant!)

Today was the first day of The Culturally Responsive Sheltered Instruction (CSRI) course at Kīpapa Elementary School in Mililani, HI, on Oahu! A GREAT day with a wonderful group of teachers eager to learn how to make the education of their English Learners better!!

All the teachers at Farrington High school in Honolulu, HI worked today to increase academic speaking and writing in their classroom! I got to spend three afternoons with them! What a great group of dedicated professionals!!
