Hey everyone!

As we announced at our Gala, the Guild is likely taking a brief hiatus for next year or so unless we hear from some people interested in being officers. That being said, we don’t want to focus on that as much as we want to focus on the history of the Guild and what it’s been able to accomplish, especially over the last four years. Our graphic designer Alex put together a lovely slideshow using photos from present and previous Guild officers showcasing our meetings and events as a tribute to the club.

Thank you to everyone who showed up and was a part of our club. This is not goodbye, just a see you later.

Calling all techs, actors, and everything in between: you’re invited to Tech Olympics!

Regardless of your level of experience, everyone is invited to participate. The event will start with training stations so you can learn or get a quick refresher on some important tech skills. Then we’ll have some time to socialize and hear a bit from some of the people leading our tech for Ohlone’s Summerfest show, Urinetown (and maybe get a sneak peek of the set 👀). Finally, we’ll end the night with a race where teams of three (one tech veteran, one tech apprentice, and one tech newbie) will compete against each other in a series of events based on the training stations. The fastest team wins and will receive some really cool prizes. Participation in the race is not mandatory, but greatly encouraged. After all, we need an audience to cheer on our competitors!

📅 Tech Olympics will be held in the Nummi Theatre on April 23rd from 5:45-8:00pm.
👥 EVERYONE IS WELCOME, regardless of level of experience and including non-Ohlone students!
🛠️ Come for the training, the presentation from the Summerfest tech leaders, and our big Olympic event as a competitor or as the audience.
💡 An interest form will be posted soon, so keep an eye out for that!
