Upon reflexión, the plan was to encourage our community to come together in celebration for our departed, our ancestors in the Latin tradition of Día de los Muertos. Then in 2020 the pandemic struck, and we were devastated to see so much loss, as it was

Carlos Manzo died doing what so many promised but few dared to do — standing up for his people, for safety, for dignity. His voice may be gone, but his courage has become the echo of a nation that refuses to stay silent.

When one of us suffers, all of us feel it.
When one of us is silenced, all of us rise.
Because there is no power greater than el pueblo unido. 💪🏽🇲🇽

Today, we don’t mourn in silence — we remember with strength. For every candle lit, for every flag raised, his spirit lives on in the hearts of those who still believe that justice is worth fighting for.
