Two facts. One: over 2.8 million people suffer from multiple sclerosis and its debilitating symptoms (nationalmssociety). Two: As of March 2021, 9 in 10 hospitals have artificial intelligence strategies in place (healthitanalytics).

Neuromatter is proud to publish an ORIGINAL study that uses the power of artificial intelligence to detect multiple sclerosis in its infancy, perhaps even before the patient is born. How?

Stanford University is a global leader in neuroscience innovation and research. It also happens to be one of the most selective undergraduate schools in the world.

And now, researchers at Stanford’s Department of Neuroscience are teaching motivated students how to read and analyze scientific literature, and even conduct research just like them. The Neuromatter team is dedicated to sharing these lessons with you, growing the passion for scientific exploration and like Dr. Oddete Harris, founder of the Stanford Neuroscience Journal Club says, “shaping the future of neuroscience.”

Neuromatter will be meeting with Stanford researchers monthly, and sharing the techniques learned on our various social media platforms and website. Learn more at neuromatter.org/events.

If you are interested in joining Neuromatter’s team, be on the lookout for upcoming posts about a local chapter at AHS, where you too can collaborate with some of the best universities in the world and publish your own research for the world to see.
