If you don't like the way you look on camera (which is a lot of people) there is an easy fix to it.
Good news is you aren't as ugly as you think! :)
It's bad lighting.
Such a simple fix and it stops people dead in their tracks.
Like seriously. BOOM I have never seen grown ups shrink, cower and cringe in hideousness the way I do when many people look at themselves on playback. (Unless.. the shot is lit right then people LOVE themselves)
This is one of the biggest problems and FEARS on why people don't get on camera.
They simply can't stand the way they look. And then the thoughts come in. I suck. I look like s**t. I look old. Tired. Fat. Ugly. Like a loser.
Put them in the right lighting, they are strutting around, sashe shantayin, cat walking and the like. All we did is put some lights on you!? Same person. Different feeling.
They feel in control, powerful, READY.
It's a shame too because I talk to a lot of smart people with a lot of ideas and processes that can help the world.
But they let their fear get the best of them.
Like we all do at times.
People ask me how I get snazzy lighting in my videos.
I usually tell them besides my rugged good looks :) I use a simple setup.
1 ring light and 2 small lights. 3 small stands. And a backdrop.
Check this video out this it's part of one of my lighting protocol courses so that's why I am referring to other lessons.
Yes that's a black eye from catching an elbow from my boy Tim training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (it's all sorts of colors)
Anytime you look better, you feel better and present better, people will take you more seriously because you portray more authority and project boss status.
Check it out and let me know if you got questions.
