Thanks to the generosity of our donors, sponsors, and supporters, FFEF awarded $300,000 in scholarships to 47 Gillespie County students this year. We can't wait to see the impact these future nurses, teachers, engineers, business leaders, skilled trades professionals, and community champions will make.

We've been a little quiet on Facebook lately, but for good reason- the Forging Futures Education Fund has been busier than ever!

In the last couple months, we hosted our 8th Annual Forging Futures Classic, which raised over $50,000 for local scholarships. We also completed our inaugural scholarship award cycle, awarding 47 Gillespie County residents scholarships ranging from $3,000 to $10,000, totaling more than $300,000! In addition, we had the privilege of presenting scholarship certificates at FISD Scholarship Night, celebrating student achievements, and even hosted one of our FFC live auction experiences—a beautiful cliffside pizza party for some amazing supporters - Jim Harris and Linda Gartner.

These are just a few of the exciting things happening at FFEF, and we're only getting started. Stay tuned as we share photos, recipient stories, event highlights, and more in the coming weeks!

We are so excited to have our 8th Annual Forging Futures Classic Celebration Dinner at Arch Ray Resort Sunday, April 12. It is the PERFECT place to kick off our fundraising weekend. Join us for an incredible night featuring Felix and Fingers dueling pianos, a live auction, great food, and lots of laughs — all while supporting scholarships for Gillespie County students. So even if you’re not golfing Monday, you can still come enjoy the Sunday night dinner and entertainment.

What a special day for Forging Futures Education Fund!
We were honored to celebrate our ribbon cutting surrounded by our some of our incredible board members, scholarship committee, golf committee, and Chamber ambassadors. This milestone represents years of dedication to higher education — and the past year of intentional work building our scholarship program to where we are today. We are officially preparing to distribute scholarships, and it truly took all of us to get to this point. We are nearing 100 scholarship applications from hardworking students who are ready to better themselves through higher education, trade programs, and certifications.

Thank you to everyone who has supported this mission. We are so excited for what’s ahead and grateful to be part of a community that believes in investing in its future!
