Kristin's Kozy Korner In Home Early Childhood Education Program. Owner/Operator Denise Babore Children will learn by exploring through hands-on activities.

PHILOSOPHY

To provide a creative, nurturing and loving environment in which children will learn to be the best that they can be, at their own pace. All children will be treated with respect and kindness in an atmosphere that encourages self-esteem building. Programs will be developmentally age appropriate for each child using that child’s natural curiosity for learning. Lesson plans will be child

initiated and teacher led. Behavior problems will be handled on an individual basis. All children will be reminded of what the class room rules are on a daily basis. A child’s misbehavior will be called to their attention only. The children will not be corrected in front of other students. Each child will be taken aside, reminded of the class rules, and spoken to in a quiet manner. Positive reinforcement is to be used at all times. Timeout will not be allowed for any reason. Redirection will be used for all children. Kristin’s Kozy Korner has an Open Door Policy. Any parent will be allowed to visit their child’s classroom unannounced whenever they feel necessary. Parent involvement is extremely important to us. Parents will be encouraged to work with their children at home on the skills that we are working on in the classroom. It is our goal to provide a foundation for lifelong learning and to prepare your child with the skills necessary to be successful in school as well as in life.
