Whenever possible, we encourage families to schedule trips and appointments around these dates so students can be present for important classroom learning and instruction.

Such an amazing, and busy, first week! We welcomed new and returning students, added artwork to our walls and ceilings, students were learning and sharing, had a visit from the superintendent, threw in a fire drill, and our teachers were leading the way instructionally! We'll keep leveling up each and every week, and thank you parents and families for your support in making this an awesome week for our sharks!!!!! What a wonderful evening at Smith Station Elementary! We loved meeting so many of our newest Sharks, our incoming kindergartners, and their families as we enjoyed popsicles, playground fun, and time together.
The excitement, smiles, and new friendships made it a special way to begin welcoming the Class of 2039 to our school community. We cannot wait to see everyone again as we begin an amazing year of learning, growing, and “Leveling Up” together! Spotsylvania County Public Schools

🌧️ Popsicles on the Playground Has Been Postponed 🌧️
Due to the forecast for thunderstorms, we have made the decision to postpone our Popsicles on the Playground event.

🕕 Time: 6:00–7:00 PM

We can't wait to welcome our incoming Kindergarten students and their families for an evening of fun on the playground, cool popsicles, and the opportunity to meet new friends and members of our Smith Station Elementary family!

🦈 Smith Station Elementary Open House is Thursday, August 6!

We are excited to welcome our Sharks and their families back to school! Our Pre-K and Kindergarten session will be held from 9:15–10:00 AM and will include a parent presentation in the cafeteria to help families learn more about Smith Station Elementary.

Our whole-school morning Open House will be from 10:00–11:00 AM, followed by an evening session from 4:00–5:30 PM. Families of students in all grades may stop by during either whole-school session to drop off school supplies and meet their child’s teacher.
We look forward to seeing everyone and starting another great year together! ❤️🖤🦈
