Sometimes blooming looks a lot like beginning again. 🌸

Cultivated Blooms has been a little quiet lately, but life certainly hasn’t been.

This summer filled my cup in ways I’m still processing. I traveled, taught, learned, designed, spent time surrounded by some of the most talented flower people, and found inspiration in places I had dreamed of visiting.

And then I came home and started building again.

A new classroom.
A new floral program.
A student-run flower shop.
New students.
New ideas.
And Year 16 of doing something I still genuinely love.

There have been beautiful flowers and beautiful moments, but there have also been boxes, piles, late nights, lesson plans, budgets, rearranging the same classroom corner 47 times 😂 and figuring things out as I go.

And maybe that’s exactly what Cultivated Blooms is supposed to be about.

Not just the finished arrangement.

The growing that happens along the way.

So no, Cultivated Blooms hasn’t gone anywhere. If anything, I think we’re entering a whole new season.

And I have a feeling there is a LOT we’re going to talk about. 🌿🌸

Every flower has a purpose. Every mechanic has a story.

This floating floral display was created using Syndicate Sales AquaGrids, giving floral educators a practical mechanic they can take back to their own classrooms, studios, and events.

Set against the beautiful backdrop of Camp Hideaway, this installation became one of the most memorable moments of the Cultivated Blooms Retreat.

A heartfelt thank you to Baylee Adams, our Creative Team Lead, whose creativity and vision brought this entire set to life. From concept to ex*****on, she created a space that invited attendees to learn, celebrate, and simply enjoy being surrounded by flowers.

Capturing every joyful splash was 1104 Photography, whose incredible talent allows us to relive these moments long after the retreat is over.

And to our wonderful models, Alyssa, Sadie, and Morgan… thank you for jumping in (literally!) and bringing so much joy, laughter, and energy to this shoot. You made the vision come alive.

This is what Cultivated Blooms is all about: collaboration, education, and creating experiences that inspire floral educators long after they return home.

Four years ago, all I wanted to do was play with flowers and hang out with my floral friends.

That’s it. That was the dream.

I wasn’t trying to build a business. I wasn’t trying to create a retreat. I simply wanted a space where floral educators could come together, learn from one another, and leave feeling inspired.

Every person you see in these photos was at that very first Cultivated Blooms retreat in Galveston.

These aren’t throwback pictures.

They’re from this year’s retreat.

Four years later, we’re still creating together. Still laughing. Still learning. Still cheering each other on. What started as a weekend with friends has become a community that feels like family.

Cultivated Blooms has never been about the flowers.

The flowers were simply the reason we found each other.

Thank you to every person who has trusted this dream, attended a retreat, shared your heart, and helped make this community what it is today. I truly couldn’t have done it without you.

Now… it’s time to start dreaming up Year Five. 💛🌿

Four years ago, this was just a small dream between a few floral teacher friends. We wanted a chance to play with flowers, not for a customer, a contest, or a grade… just because we love flowers.

Fast forward four years, and that little dream has grown into something so much bigger than I ever imagined. Watching this community of floral educators create, learn, laugh, and inspire one another has been one of the greatest blessings of my career.

Seeing these memories shared reminds me how thankful I am for every teacher, sponsor, photographer, and friend who has been part of this journey.
