Come celebrate, connect, and commemorate the 106th Anniversary of the 19th Amendment. Wear purple and white in honor of the suffragists!

What a great summer Aavanee STEM for Kids (Summer)’s last session: featured student volunteers Sanjay G, Vivan Netra, Vihan Netra, Aanandi S, Arya B and Ms Sirisha K presenting on various topics such as Einstein, Math behind Acceleration, Mathematician Al-Khwarizmi, Abacus Math.. And a special inspirational speech from Miss America 2000, Ms Sonia M Amir Bowie! County officials and State Commissioner joined for the program and participant/volunteer appreciation ceremony. Overall 90+ children including student volunteers from Frederick, Montgomery and Howard counties, participated in this year’s “Math is Everywhere” series enriching the value of STEM before they head back to new School year!

This year’s Aavanee STEM for Kids (Summer) concluded with volunteer appreciation and participant recognition, for their being part of the Math awareness, this summer. We thank Ms Preeti Menon from Maryland Governor's Office of Community Initiatives South Asian Commission, Mr Chad Wilson from Frederick County Board of Education, Ms Ysela Bravo from Frederick County Executive Jessica Fitzwater’s office for taking time out of their busy schedule to encourage the children. We also thank Ms Sonia M Amir Bowie, Ms Gurpreet Kaur and Dr Mahesh Aitha for their support.
