💐On July 19, we had a lovely Pick & Sip event at Valley Homemade and Homegrown Farms, enjoying a gorgeous summer evening as we chatted, sipped, and created beautiful bouquets.

🌴On July 30th Trustee Sue Audino '85 hosted a big crowd of Hood'Lums at her home in Bethany Beach. Sue is an amazing cook, gracious hostess, and truly has made "her" gathering the Hood event of summer.

Starting Friday, July 10th, this year's Frederick Shakespeare Festival at Hood kicks off with live performances of Henry IV Part 1 at The Black Box stage in Tatem. This show features a cast of professional actors from across the DMV (including a few current and former Hood students). 🪉Or (and?)...make your way over to Coffman Chapel on Sunday, July 12th at 3:00 p.m. for a free show from the City of Tomorrow Wind Quintet! This show is part of the Hood College Summer Concert Series and features a special program entitled "A Town Hall," which will feature music and poetry on the theme of resilience, connection, and coexistence. No tickets required, and we hope to see you there.

I send greetings from Stresa, Italy where it has been (and still is!) a complete joy and pleasure to accompany the most wonderful Hood’Lums on the AHI trip to the Swiss Alps and Italian Lakes.

I have made new friends, learned so much history, and seen incomparable views. These photos are just a fraction, and they do not do justice to the reality. more to come upon my return to Frederick.

I will leave you with this: if you ever been curious about taking an AHI adventure but were afraid or hesitant, let me state unequivocally that you should GO!!
