We are incredibly grateful to Macy’s for partnering with I Believe In Me for our Back 2 School initiative.

Macy’s is going above and beyond by opening their store exclusively for our volunteers before regular business hours, allowing them to shop for students in our community. Due to unforeseen circumstances, our Back to School 2026 event has been moved to a new location.

🎒BIG things are happening for Frederick County students!

We are incredibly grateful to our presenting sponsor ACE Solutions for making this year’s Back to School event possible. Because of their extraordinary investment in our community, close to 500 Frederick County students will receive a complete Back to School Essentials Package to help them start the school year with confidence.

Each student will receive new clothing, sneakers, a backpack, school supplies, hygiene essentials, and more—giving them the opportunity to walk into school feeling prepared, confident, and ready to succeed.

This partnership is about so much more than school supplies. It’s about investing in our youth, strengthening families, and showing every child that their community believes in them.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED | BACK TO SCHOOL FREDERICK

Our Back to School event has grown beyond anything we imagined! Thanks to the incredible support of our community, we are now preparing to serve more than 400 Frederick County students with new sneakers, clothing, backpacks, school supplies, hygiene essentials, and more as they head back to school with confidence.

Now we need YOU!

It truly takes a village to make an event of this size possible. We’re looking for volunteers to help with event setup, registration, student check-in, shopping assistance, distribution, and cleanup. Whether you can give a few hours or the entire day, your time will make a lasting impact on a child’s life.

Every child deserves to walk into school feeling confident, prepared, and excited for the year ahead.

On Saturday, August 15, we’re bringing our community together to support 200 local students with clothing, sneakers (if requested), hygiene items, haircuts, food, games, music, and so much more.

This is about more than giving away essentials. It’s about reminding every student that they are seen, valued, and supported by an entire community that believes in them.
