Farm Theme has been a blast! Sorting activities, flannel board stories, feeding chickens and checking for eggs, various puzzles, searching for animals in fun sensory bins, herding "sheep" and even a creative cow milking experience. Each child also went home with a bandana of their color choice. A surprise visit from a local petting zoo arrived complete with pony rides! This was certainly a week to remember.

WEEKLY WRAP-UP

On Independence Day, we had our very own parade walk complete with flags and patriotic songs.

Throughout the week the kids participated in various math activities such as number matching, coin sorting, and counting games.

We did crafts, paintings, bead bracelets, puzzles, color sorting, letter recognition, etc.

We lined up in formation, sang American songs, recited flag salute, and held a flag folding ceremony.

During our ocean theme the last couple weeks, we learned through a variety of crafts, puzzles, sensory play, books, fishing games, science activities, songs and more.
Our emphasis was on fish, seashells, whales, octopus, jellyfish, sharks, and sea stars.
We even had meals which included tuna, clam chowder, shell pasta, and of course goldfish crackers!

To kick off our ocean unit, this group project was created for our ocean mural backdrop. We added sea animals to it over the last couple of weeks.

How do grasshoppers hop?
Why do ladybugs walk and also fly?
How do worms dig?
Why do bees pick up the flower stuff?
Why do bees fly around?
What do ants eat?
How many different kinds of beetles are there?
Why do butterflies fly?
What do worms put in their home?
Explain how honey is throw up?
