PROJECT JOURNAL - SWEET GRASS: ENTRY 001

Sweet Grass, by artist Chelsea Kaiah

Location Install : Westminster, Colorado, 2026

This fabricated bronze sculpture depicts one of the sacred plants of the Ute peoples of Colorado and Utah. It honors the tradition of collecting and braiding wild sweetgrass. The sculpture features three groups of seven strands of grass woven into a braid: the first strands represent the seven generations that came before, the second represent the seven sacred teachings, and the third represent the seven generations to come.

BEYOND THE BUILD

Collaboration is a major part of our process. Not just the artists and fabricators, but also the commissioning and curatorial bodies that help make our work possible.

Ultimately one our goals here is to preserve the integrity of the artists creation while making that vision a reality in a 3D real world space. Without COLLABORATION none of that would be possible.

PROJECT JOURNAL
St. Richard’s Dragon by Fitz The Artist
Entry : 001

Here’s a look into a project we’ve been working on in collaboration with GANGGANG and FITZGERALD LLC for St. Richard's Episcopal School . This has been a massive undertaking and wouldn’t be possible without the help of everyone involved.

From 2D animation and renderings to steel, foam, and resin, this is a major project that has been slowly coming together at the shop. Stay tuned for more project journals and insight into all the work we have moving through the shop floor.
