My name is Addison Roark, and I am a proud senior at Franklin County High School, and this season marks my fifth and final season on the bowling team. As I step onto the lanes for my final season, I hope to make it unforgettable—not just through scores or wins, but through heart, hustle, friendship, and positivity.
Bowling has given me so much over the years, and I have loved every minute of being part of this team. I have always tried to give my best at every practice and every match, pushing myself to improve and never giving up. My love for this sport has grown with every season, but the people I have shared it with have made the experience truly special.
More than my own scores, I believe my greatest strength is being my team’s biggest cheerleader. I love celebrating a teammate’s strike, giving a high-five after a tough split, and reminding someone to keep going when things don’t go their way. Being a teammate means so much more to me than what happens on the lanes. It means encouraging each other, celebrating each other, making memories together, and being there through both the good moments and the tough ones. Knowing that I can make someone smile, feel supported, or believe in themselves means more to me than any score ever could.
As I look beyond the bowling alley, I’m excited to carry the same compassion and dedication into my future. I plan to pursue a career as a veterinary technician because of my lifelong love for animals and my desire to care for them. I hope to bring the same patience, kindness, and determination to that career that I have brought to my team.
It’s hard to believe that this is my final season. Bowling has been such a meaningful part of my life, and I know I will carry these memories, friendships, laughs, and lessons with me long after I leave the lanes. I may be finishing my fifth season, but the impact this team has had on me will last a lifetime.
I hope when my teammates remember me, they remember someone who always cheered a little louder, cared a little deeper, and never stopped believing in the people around her. I am incredibly grateful for every frame, every friendship, every high-five, every laugh, and every memory.
Here’s to my final season—one filled with heart, hustle, positivity, and hopefully plenty of strikes. I’m ready to make every moment count.
