We provide resources, advise administration on school policy and advocate for the rights of our scholars within the community.

Today is 5/04, and we are celebrating Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. Section 504 is a cornerstone of disability civil rights and a reminder of what collective action can achieve.
Section 504 helped open (and widen!) doors to education, healthcare, transportation, and community life. It affirmed that disabled people belong in the community and that the government has a responsibility to make that possible.
That progress exists because people came together and refused to accept exclusion in ways that were unignorable. Now, that same spirit matters and we have an opportunity to show up once again for the future we believe in.
Weโre excited to share that last Friday, Indiana withdrew from the Texas v. Kennedy lawsuit, which attacks the โintegration mandate.โ Section 504. Read the article: https://www.arcind.org/news/ag-rokita-withdraws-from-texas-v-kennedy/
Thatโs the power of collective community pressure from individuals and orgs like The Arc of Indiana! Letโs keep going! If youโre in one of the remaining states (Alaska, Florida, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Montana, South Dakota, and Texas), contact your Attorney General and tell them to drop this attack on Section 504.
Take inspiration from Disability Rights Montana, an organization that is showing us what creative, visible, and empowered advocacy can look like by throwing a party on their Attorney Generalโs lawn.
Joy is a powerful form of resistance! Weโve built this progress together. And together, we continue forward. Learn more ways to take action: dredf.org/protect-504

Career Technical Education (CTE) opens doors for students to explore their interests, develop real-world skills, and prepare for future careers. In this session, weโll take a closer look at how CTE works in Massachusetts, what programs offer, how they support studentsโ academic and career goals, and what families and schools should know about the admissions process. Participants will leave with a clear understanding of the stateโs expectations for equitable access and how schools, families, and community partners can work together to help every student succeed through CTE opportunities.
