In Knoxville, Tennessee, local mother and licensed pharmacist Sohini Patel recognized an urgent need when faced with multi-year childcare waitlists. Instead of waiting for a solution, she chose to create one by opening a new Children's Lighthouse Early Learning School.

“When I was going through it, I just felt like I wanted to do something more. Everyone is talking about the same thing, how they literally have nowhere to go, and the wait lists range from anywhere from one year to up to anywhere to three years.”
