Sometimes these are forgotten in ADHD and only the “hyperactive” is used as a diagnosis. Many people go undiagnosed because of the misconceptions about ADHD. Please educate yourself and others💚

Holding accountability is very important.

An apology is an acknowledgment and an acceptance of responsibility for what's happened...

Your actions and behaviours that follow shows that you mean it...

A lot of times we feel as though our needs are not being met when it comes to your child’s school, teachers, or whomever else is involved with your child. A lot has been said about stimming, whether is was positive or negative. Or some never even heard of the word. Stimming is short for self-stimulating behaviors. Everyone associates differently. Here are examples of stimming, it is helpful to some others is is deemed harmful. Stimming seems to help some autistic children and teenagers manage emotions and cope with overwhelming situations. If stimming affects some children in negative ways, there are other alternative ways to reduce their need to stim. While many people have a stim they use to self-regulate, like rocking your body back and forth, it’s not always obvious to others. You may not use your stim often, or you may know how to control the behavior. For people on the spectrum or with a disability it is far more noticeable. STIMMING IS NORMAL! You do not have to take that away from the child, teen or adult. Instead look into why they are stimming.
