Calling ALL "Closet Worship Leaders" --

Yup -- you. If your gut just did a turn or your spirit jumped a little I am talking to you. 🙃

I have been carrying a fire in my bones all week!

There's an army rising up.

Can you not feel it!?

Can you not perceive it??

And YOU'RE apart of it!

The Lord recently gave me a word to release to a corporate body -- calling out all of the "closet worship leaders"

- the ones' who feel a stirring in their bones and in their spirit to do more in singing, or leading in worship some way or another...

I will be honest -

The world, and often times the church too, has done you a great disservice:
our celebrity culture only celebrates the ones that are one stage and in the spotlight.

And it does not give enough recognition to those who quietly lead by being consistent in their every day actions.

Many of you have felt that you're not qualified to be a "worship leader" because you don't have the skill, capacity and/or the experience that the world has made you "think you need."

There is a time and a place for the "big stages" and the "big audiences," and some of you God will call and place there.

The enemy has allured us with the idea of a platform, which is a highlight in life, not life itself...

to either leave our post or at least look on it with dissatisfaction or even disdain,

even though God has placed a high call and assignment in each place that He has established our feet.

It's time to STOP chasing after the WRONG THINGS

AND

It's time to SHAKE OFF discouragement/disqualification from the enemy.

It's time to step up in YOUR unique role as a WORSHIP LEADER, carrying the presence of God into every space you go,

even if that looks TOTALLY different than being a "worship leader" in the traditional sense of the word.

In 2 Weeks - I will be conducting a FREE 4 day workshop equipping those called to LEAD.

Whether you're musically inclined, already on a worship team, or shaking in your boots and scared and think you have no musical talent --

I am going to walk you through and empower you to be a bold, powerful worship leader in the sphere of influence that God has already planted you in.

Write "BOLD" in the comments if that is you - and you want to join in this workshop.

Blessings,
De Ana

🎤 Are you actually singing CORRECTLY?
Here are 3 ways to know if your current singing habits are helping you — or hurting you.

As a vocal coach, these are the exact signs I look for when assessing a voice.
✅ No pain.
✅ Clear sound.
✅ Lasting stamina.
✅ And if you’re stuck — it might be time to get a second set of ears on it.

🧡 Bonus tip: You don’t have to figure it out alone.

👇 Comment CONSULT to learn how to book a free 30-min vocal consult with me!
Or DM “WARMUP” for a free 7-minute warmup to start singing smarter today.

To Expound:
✅ 1. No Pain or Strain
If singing hurts, you’re either using the wrong technique or pushing too hard.
Good singing should feel smooth, not like a throat workout.

✅ 2. Vocal Stamina
You should be able to sing for 30+ minutes without feeling winded or hoarse.
If your voice is tired after 10 minutes, there’s likely tension or breath support issues.

✅ 3. Clear, Consistent Tone
No cracks, no breathiness, no tension. Just a connected sound across your range.
Clarity is a sign of healthy technique and vocal balance.

To the man who first gave me the gift of Music…

To say I’m grateful for my Dad is an understatement.

He’s been a constant confidant.
A rock.
My first call—whenever anything good or bad happens.

He’s the man who plays piano when he thinks no one’s listening,
and something about hearing him in his own world… it soothes my soul.
He taught me how to harmonize by ear—how to listen, really listen.

He taught me how to ride my first bike,
and how to flavor food with no measurements—just taste and instinct.
(And honestly, that’s how he taught me music too.)

He’s the one who fed my obsession with why—
answering every single question I had as a kid
(…and still answers them today 😂).
He’s the most curious and humble man I know—
never done learning, never done growing.

He’s the one who first told me about Jesus.

And I’ve said this before:
If I hadn’t been called to music, I would’ve become a scientist just like my Dad.
Because he passed down a love for truth. For beauty. For wonder.

Despite everything life has thrown our way,
I’m so incredibly grateful to call him my father.

Love you, Daddy. ❤️
Happy Father’s Day.

✨ 5 Pre-Service Vocal Tips Every Worship Singer Needs ✨

Sunday’s coming—and your voice (and spirit) get to be ready. Whether you’re leading the room or harmonizing from the back row, these 5 simple prep tips will help you show up with confidence, clarity, and peace. 🕊️

✅ Warm up wisely
✅ Hydrate early

✅ Get still before the Lord
✅ Be. Take the pressure off!

Yes, technical prep *matters*. But more than anything? Your heart posture before God is what truly shifts atmospheres. 💛 You could have the best voice in the room—but if disconnected in worship, it’s just sound.

You don’t need to start out feeling confident to become confident. 💥

Many singers wait until they “feel ready” to use their voice boldly. But the truth?

Confidence is built — not born.

🎯 Repetition forms habit.
🎯 Habit builds skill.
🎯 Skill fuels confidence.

If you’re waiting for fear to leave before you show up — you’ll be waiting forever.

🔁 Show up scared.
🎶 Sing on purpose.
🔥 Let your consistency be louder than your insecurity.

Because the voice God gave you? It was meant to be heard.

One way this week to start building confidence and habits this week is by doing your daily vocal warmups?? Have you gotten your free daily vocal warmup routine/exercises??

Then drop a 🎤 if you would like access to my free 7 minute daily warmup routine.

Happy Mother’s Day to my first music teacher.

I’m lucky.
I remember most of my childhood —
and I remember just about everything you taught me.
Not through words mostly,
but by watching you.

It’s true what they say —
kids will do what they see, not what you say.
And everything I’ve learned from you…
I learned by example.

You were the dedicated music teacher of our little homeschool co-op —
even with no formal title or training

You didn’t wait to be given permission —
you just poured yourself out everything you learned yourself.

I watched you lead children’s choirs and private lessons in our living room,
teaching both kids and adults
with joy, patience, and so much heart.
🎶

You showed me how to make music feel like a game,
how to let singing be more than sound —
It’s deeply interconnected with our soul and our identity.
🧠❤️🎤

You taught me to be fun.
To be creative.
You were the one who insisted we take piano lessons —
which, let’s be honest, we didn’t love at the time.
But now?
Grateful is an understatement.
🎹

You made space for home concerts and living room recitals,
put us on stage when we were barely tall enough to reach the mic,
and you let us explore music, dance, theater — all of it.
🌟🎭

You were my first music teacher.

You also taught me persistence.
The power of prayer.
The kind of faith like the persistent widow.
🙏⏳

You laid your life down a thousand quiet ways
so your kids could have a better shot at life.
I am forever grateful.

You didn’t just teach me music and about life,
You showed me how to live it.
💐

Worship Singers — this one’s for you.

You don’t have to wait until Sunday morning to start getting your voice (and your spirit) ready. If God’s called you to release sound this weekend, let’s make sure your instrument — your voice AND your heart — are aligned and activated. 🙌

Here are 3 ways to prepare your singing voice for Sunday:
1️⃣ Gentle warmups (lip buzzes, hums, sirens — hello, car rehearsal!)
2️⃣ Hydrate early (don’t wait until you’re walking on stage with dry vocal cords)
3️⃣ You don’t have to belt (mic technique + monitor volume > vocal strain)
✨ BONUS: Get quiet before the Lord. You lead better when you’ve been led.
✨ BONUS: Take the pressure off. His presence doesn’t depend on your perfection.

👉 Want a simple, 7-minute Sunday morning warmup?
COMMENT “WARMUP” below and I’ll send it to you FREE.

You were made to release a sound that shifts atmospheres. Let’s get your voice ready to do just that. 💛

Want to improve your singing voice without lessons or vocal warmups?
Yep. It’s actually possible — and these 3 tips are where I’d tell any beginner (or artist, worship leader, or bedroom singer) to start. 👇🏽

1️⃣ Fix your posture – The way you stand matters. Better posture = more breath support and control.
2️⃣ Get your heart rate up – Even 5 minutes of cardio a day helps your voice last longer and feel more supported.
3️⃣ Smile. Relax. HAVE FUN. – When you enjoy it, your body relaxes, and guess what? A better sound comes out.

I’m a vocal coach & worship leader who helps singers strengthen their voice, eliminate strain, and lead boldly with confidence.

These 3 tips are just the beginning — if you want my free 7-minute warmup to take things to the next level, comment “WARMUP” 🎧
