The week is finally here! On Saturday I’ll be taking the stage again to compete in the 2024 Grand Slam competition.
To celebrate the Grand Slam I thought it would be fun to share my award winning speech from May which secured my entry into the Grand Slam.
The theme for May’s competition was “Freedom” and on Saturday I’ll be delivering another speech this time with the theme of “Brave”
What comes to mind when you think of the words Freedom & Brave?
P.S: Major shoutout to Speaker Slam for creating this incredible cut of my speech!

10 Years Ago, I Came Out—and It Changed My Life Forever.
It wasn’t easy, and it wasn’t without fear. But the moment I embraced my truth and let the world see the real me, everything began to shift.
Since coming out, my life has completely blossomed. I’ve become more confident, more secure in who I am, and more courageous in pursuing the life I’ve always wanted. No longer held back by fear, I stopped living a lie. I allowed myself to be fully seen, and in doing so, I found true happiness and fulfillment.
That’s why, on this National Coming Out Day, I’m not just celebrating my own journey, but taking a big step forward. I’m beyond excited to announce the launch of my new personal website: www.tylerryanhall.com — and with it, a mission that means the world to me.
👉 To help others “come out” of whatever closet is holding them back from living their most aligned lives.
Because coming out isn’t just about coming out as gay—it’s about living fully, without shame, fear, or hiding who you are.
Coming out is about letting your authentic self be seen by the world. And I believe we all have our own "closets” that stop us from being our most authentic selves.
For some that closet is fear. For others, it’s self-doubt, imposter syndrome, or societal expectations. We live life inside these closets, keeping ourselves and our lives trapped.
But take it from someone who spent 21 years inside the closet... life is too short to live it inside the closet.
As your life coach, I’m here to help you get crystal clear on who you are and what you want out of life and work with you to make it happen. My methodology focuses on deep exploration and identity building by helping people first “come into themselves” so they can “come out” and live a life aligned with who they truly are.
No more hiding. No more shrinking. Just you, living your fullest potential.
The life you’re dreaming about is waiting for you—outside the closet.
If you’re ready to “come out”, check out my new website www.tylerryanhall.com to learn more. Your bravest, boldest life is waiting for you. Are you ready for it?
With love,
Tyler

I still cannot believe that I'll be competing in the Inspirational Speaking Finals for Speaker Slam! This year’s theme is BRAVE
Every year instead of doing resolutions I create a yearly theme as a way to anchor in my intentions for the upcoming year. For 2024 I made this The Year of Being. And when I asked myself who I wanted to be this year the first thing I said was a professional speaker. So I set out on a quest to become a speaker & now that's leading me to the Grand Slam stage in November!
The 8th annual Grand Slam is the showdown where the year's best speakers compete for the prestigious title of "Inspirational Speaker of the Year" and a grand prize package worth up to $50,000 with a cash prize of $5000.
Out of all the speakers that competed this year globally, I am 1 of 14 speakers that have this opportunity.
Now I know many of you can’t make it to Toronto for the live event but luckily for you they’ve got a livestream option. I’d love to have as many of you as possible cheering me on via the livestream.
And if you happen to be in the greater Toronto area and would like to come support me live I’d so appreciate that!
The event will be held at the CBC Glenn Gould Studio in Toronto, Canada. Use the code TEAMHALL to get a special discount and come support me and sit in my cheering squad! (Discount code only applies to general admission ticket and not the livestream)
Get your tickets here: https://www.speakerslam.org/events or check 's page with the link in the bio.

30th vs 31st! 1 year apart and almost an 80 pound difference between these two photos.
Loving seeing the transformation and knowing that my 30s are already a hell of a lot better than my 20s

Have you shown yourself some compassion today?
If you haven’t now is a good time to do it! Instead of belittling yourself or being so hard on yourself what would it look like if you celebrated yourself for how hard you’ve been working?
Take a moment right now to celebrate yourself. Leave me a comment on something you’re celebrating about yourself today 🎉

Came to Toronto a dreamer. Leaving Toronto a champion!
Today is the first day of Pride Month and it feels somewhat ironic that I am bringing home the gold medal for the topic of Freedom knowing that my state (and many others) in the USA think it’s okay to deny individuals their personal freedom of expression.
I am incredibly proud to be an American.
I am incredibly proud to be a gay man.
I’m incredibly proud to be q***r.
And it sickens me that in 2024 we are passing more and more laws prohibiting the freedom of expression.
I have always shied away from being super public and vocal about being gay and have always tried to play down my “gayness” and that in turn has made me cowardice.
Tuesday night when I stood on that Speaker Slam stage I did not shy away. I was not a coward. I was 100% TOTALLY TYLER and it was the most freeing moment of my life.
I will never apologize for who I am. And I will never ever down play my “gayness” anymore.
I am here!
I am q***r!
And I am damn proud of the person I am!
Happy Pride Month Y’all! Tyler is bring the Freedom Medal back to Texas and it’s a reminder that true FREEDOM is being 100% your beautiful, unapologetic and wonderful self
♥️🧡💛💚💙💜

As I’m getting ready to take the Speaker Slam stage tonight one word comes to mind - Pride
Today I am proud of the person I was.
I am proud of the person I am.
And I am proud of the person I am becoming.
Public speaking has been a goal of mine for many many years. And tonight I’m “coming out” as a speaker!
My speech tonight - Coming Out & Coming In is a celebration of authenticity and finding freedom in who you truly are.
Authenticity is my #1 value and I’m proud to be taking the stage and sharing my views on how authenticity is truly the ticket to freedom.
100s of hours have gone into preparing this 5 minute talk and I couldn’t be more proud of how it turned out.
I feel incredibly blessed to be sharing the stage tonight with 9 other industry leaders. And I’m wishing everyone who’s competing great success. I know it’s cliche to say this but we have all already won just by being brave and courageous enough to show up!
Break a leg everyone! I can’t wait to be inspired by your stories.

Toronto here I come!
This Tuesday I’m competing at Speaker Slam - North America’s largest inspirational speaking competition. And as I sit on the plane getting ready to take off I can’t help but think about how many people dream but never take action on their dreams for various reasons.
Dreams can’t become a reality until you act. And right now I’m taking some massive actions on my dreams.
Am I feeling scared…absolutely!
Am I feeling nervous…absolutely!
Am I feeling excited…absolutely!
Am I feeling anxious…absolutely!
Is the imposter syndrome kicking in…absolutely!
But I’m refusing to let any of that stop me from pursuing my dreams.
If I’ve learned one thing about turning dreams into reality is that it requires you to spend more time outside of the comfort zone.
But here’s a secret for you - the more time you spend outside the comfort zone the easier it becomes.
The butterflies are real right now,
The imposter syndrome is real.
The fear is real.
But at the end of the day I know I’m worthy of this life I am creating for myself.
So cheers to chasing dreams and getting outside of your comfort zone!

Vulnerable share alert…
This year has already been one of the most transformative years of my life. I started 2024 off by investing in my health and getting the gastric sleeve procedure.
Right before surgery I was 282 lbs (just shy of my heaviest weight of 286) My whole life I’ve always “carried my weight well” and when I told people that I was 282 most didn’t believe me but numbers don’t lie.
I have always struggled with my weight and body image and it’s been my kryptonite all my life. I’ve never felt super comfortable in my skin.
But that is beginning to change. I’m a little more than 3 months post op and have been making some massive changes in my life. I’ve been prioritizing my health and getting up 3-4x a week at 4:30am to hit the gym.
I recently invested in personal training and have been working with a trainer 2x a week now for about 6 weeks. Today we had our second check in and I couldn’t believe the progress.
It’s surreal to see the side by side comparison. And I’m so grateful that I said yes to myself and made the choice to have this surgery.
Weight loss surgery isn’t a quick fix (yes the weight does come off pretty quickly in the beginning) BUT I’m having to make some serious lifestyle changes because I know that if I want this to be sustainable I have to put in the work.
So far the gym has taught me that strength comes with time. The gym is a very humbling place. Weight loss and body building is so much more than just numbers. It’s identity changes, belief breaking and a whole lot of mindset work.
It takes repetition after repetition. And with every new day a recommitment to myself to continue down this path of healthy habits. This year has already taught me that the life I want isn’t waiting for me inside my comfort zone. So every day I wake up and make a conscious choice to get uncomfortable and it’s in this place of uncomfortability that I am finding tremendous growth!
