📢 Lake Worth ISD Academic Calendar & School Hours Update for 2026–2027

Thank you to everyone who participated in our community survey regarding the proposed school start and release times. The survey results showed an even split between keeping the current schedule and moving to the proposed schedule. After careful consideration, the district has decided to move forward with the newly proposed start and release times for the 2026–2027 school year.

Additional updates to the approved academic calendar include:
📅 The last day of school for students will now be May 25, 2027.
📅 Students will attend school on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.
🎓 Graduation will take place on May 26, 2027.
🍎 New teachers will report on Thursday, July 30, 2026

New School Hours for 2026–2027:
• Elementary Campuses: 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Lucyle Collins Middle School: 8:30 AM – 4:15 PM
• Lake Worth High School: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM

📢 Actualización del Calendario Académico y Horarios Escolares de Lake Worth ISD para 2026–2027

Gracias a todos quienes participaron en nuestra encuesta comunitaria sobre los horarios propuestos de entrada y salida escolar. Los resultados mostraron una división equitativa entre mantener el horario actual y adoptar el horario propuesto. Después de una cuidadosa consideración, el distrito ha decidido avanzar con los nuevos horarios de entrada y salida para el año escolar 2026–2027.

Actualizaciones adicionales al calendario académico aprobado:
📅 El último día de clases para estudiantes ahora será el 25 de mayo de 2027.
📅 Los estudiantes asistirán a clases el martes 3 de noviembre de 2026.
🎓 La graduación será el 26 de mayo de 2027.
🍎 Los maestros nuevos iniciarán el jueves 30 de julio de 2026.

This change comes after careful consideration of how we can streamline communication efforts and provide an even better experience for our families, staff, and community. ParentSquare will help bring school and classroom communication into one convenient place while supporting a more connected and user-friendly experience.

This transition also goes hand in hand with our new, updated district website coming this fall, helping create a stronger and more connected digital experience for our Bullfrog community.
