My favorite pencils that I use everyday are ones that I got from Poo-pouri 😂 You know... the company that makes smell good stuff to put in the toilet??? Well, when I was at Pier 1 they gave me a gift of pencils because we bought their product to sell in their stores. I Love Those Pencils -- but since I'm on my last one, I suppose these will have to do taking over as my favorite pencils.

Yes, I still love the old school pencils -- that feeling of sharpening them and then using them so much they get down to a little nub. Such. Satisfaction!!!

Road Trips

They pretty much deserve a journal all their own. I wish I would've had this guy on our great road trip adventures last summer. Writing down all the little nuggets of fun we had, preserving our memories on paper. All the laughter and jokes, all the scary moments, sad moments.

Back in the beginning of summer, we went on some epic road trips.

It was a tad bit scary because we still weren't sure what Covid was doing but we went to places where there weren't any other people and so was very safe. In fact, I took my kids to the beach for the first time and seriously there were only about 10 people on the first beach we went to! We had it all to ourselves!

I love road trips but sometimes I let myself get in the way because there are SO many places I want to go!
Then I can't decide, then I don't go, then I get bummed. It can be a vicious cycle.

So - tell me where in Texas you want to road trip. Give me some ideas that will be easy for me to execute!

Speaking of meal planning - this is the cookbook that I'm currently obsessed with.

Meal Planner --
Ok, I don't know why this one makes so happy, but it does 😂 (Actually if you know me, you know that I LOVE food) AND It even comes with a perforated shopping list!

I love sitting down on Sunday and planning out the meals my children won't eat for the week. But, hey, at least I try, right?!? I'm a good mom! I even provide veggies!

But for real, I really do love going through a beautifully photographed cookbook and choosing new things to try. We don't do new things every day -- but on my Vision Board/Goals for the year was to try one new recipe a week.
So far, so good...
