Postpartum client testimonial 💖 I had the sweetest time caring for this growing family. From belly binding to witnessing this mother confidently step into motherhood for the second time, supporting this family during postpartum was a blessing.

Fort wayne moms looking for free education resources, head to the library!
They have books on all topics like infertility, conception, pregnancy, nutrition, birth, postpartum, motherhood, etc etc.
Each week on Monday, I will be posting some books that I have vetted and love. Today, I have a few you can check out at our libraries online or in person!

Some of my favorite picks available are:
•The Power of Women: Instinctual birth stories by Sandra K Morningstar (physical copy)
•Reclaiming Childbirth as a Rite of Passage by Rachel Reed (eaudiobook & ebook)
•Nourishing Traditions: the cookbook that challenges politically correct nutrition and the diet dictocrats
by Fallon, Sally (physical, ebook, eaudiobook)
•The First Forty Days: the essential art of nourishing the new mother by Ou, Heng (physical, ebook, eaudiobook)

Some of my favorite go to books for expecting moms are books of stories and nutrition. Nourishing stories of our power and nourishing food is the best medicine to prepare for birth.

My most recent birth was a freebirth at home, and it was absolutely magical to me. I chose it from a place of knowing what was best for myself and my baby. From years of educating myself and unlearning false naratives.
Yet, as I have grown emotionally, mentally, and spiritually postpartum, I have realized that while I seek to fill the gap of supporting women out of the system birthing, I also want to fight for them in the system too.
I used to believe that working as a doula in the system was part of the problem. I believed I was being complicit in the abuse of women that so frequently occurs under the guise of “care” by standing with them in those rooms.
On the contrary, I think it takes brave birth workers to step into a system that they know is wired against women and to hold up the sword of their voice and education to defend women’s birthing choices.

I choose to support women in birthing the way they want at home and hospital. It's my hope that they choose their intuition over degrees, familial expectations, and fears. I hope to educate, nourish, and support women unconditonally where they find themselves in their very personal journey of motherhood.

Blending a trust and life-long education in physiologic birth with knowledge of modern and traditional healing modalities/ support, I offer women my heart, mind, and spirit as I walk with them.

My books are open now. I can't wait to walk with you😊
