Here’s to our 2nd Annual National Day Out Block Party!! Thank you to all the programs that came together to set up tables and meet our families in our community. This was such a success because our community members came together to visit with a couple of our Law Enforcement Officers and other Programs that joined in our effort to show our community that we are here for you and what services we provide for everyone. A big thank you, to Employment and Training staff, Summer youth, Transportation, Lil Dreamers, SLVAP for providing the food, face painting, bouncy houses, prizes and door prizes. A special thank you to our Volunteers that cooked and helped with our booths. We all made this a wonderful day.

It was a great trip and a memorable experience to be at the 150th Battle of Little Big Horn battlefield and National Monument. We are very happy our FireKeepers and Butterflies got this opportunity to learn the history of how this Historical Battle took place and why? I would especially like to thank our Chaperones for taking care of our young men and women on this trip it was a big responsibility but you made it fun and educational. Our Butterflies did an amazing job on Friday evening demonstrating confidence, strength and resilience as they all walked down the runway in beautiful ribbon skirts in a variety of colors. Each color ribbon skirt represented a meaning for Sexual Assault Awareness. A huge thank you to Sunrise Black Bull for presenting on the topic Sexual Assault and Jolene Crosswhite for being the MC for the fashion show you ladies did an awesome job. It was so nice to see everyone come together and support these young ladies fashion show and our Awareness Event.
