It’s been a while since I asked you all to share my page! This is one of the best ways to help a small business grow. I would sure appreciate it if you shared and asked your friends to follow me! Word of mouth goes a long way. 😁

Last week, we emailed all of our homeschool friends about financial aid options for concurrent credit courses.

I wanted to let you know that this week, we received word that the Department of Education has issued new concurrent credit scholarship guidance for homeschoolers.

Under the department's new guidance, homeschoolers will be eligible for a $65/credit hour scholarship for up to 15 hours each semester under the new Access to Acceleration (A2A) scholarship.

This is really good news for homeschool families!

The Division of Higher Education will hold a Zoom meeting at 2:00 P.M. this Monday (July 21) to explain more about how homeschoolers can apply for this scholarship.

Our team plans to attend the meeting, and we encourage all homeschoolers who are interested in concurrent credit to attend as well.

Here are the meeting details:

Topic: Homeschool students and Concurrent

Homeschool Resource for the River Valley

For most homeschool families, we have spent hours, days, and years compiling resources. We are jacks of all trades, and if we don’t know something, we know someone who does. In these uncertain times and ever-changing policies and procedures in dealing with COVID-19, our homeschooling community has an opportunity to help our friends and neighbors that were unexpectedly dragged into schooling at home and those that are considering continuing down this path in the upcoming school year. We hope this page will offer those in the River Valley encouragement, support, inspiration, and guidance. As seasoned homeschoolers, there is a wealth of knowledge, and while there are many groups within the River Valley that offer a variety of support, our goal for this page is to serve as a broader attempt to support our homeschool community collectively in our area of Arkansas and Oklahoma. We hope this will ease the strain of our “new normal” and benefit our community.
