The Department of Fundamentals of Nursing, Godavari College of Nursing, Jalgaon, organized an awareness program on the occasion of World Eye Donation Day to promote the noble cause of eye donation among students.

The program highlighted the importance of eye donation and encouraged students to become ambassadors of awareness in society. Students enthusiastically participated by preparing beautiful and creative posters based on the theme "Everyday Heroes," conveying the powerful message that eye donors are true heroes who continue to bring light into others' lives even after death.

🌍♻️ World Environment Day 2026 ♻️🌍

The NSS Unit of Godavari College of Nursing, Jalgaon celebrated World Environment Day 2026 by organizing a “Plastic Free Campus” awareness campaign.

The initiative aimed to create awareness among students and the public about the harmful effects of plastic pollution and encourage everyone to adopt eco-friendly alternatives. Through this campaign, participants pledged to say “No to Plastic” and contribute towards a cleaner, greener, and healthier environment.
The activity was conducted in support of the global theme:

🌟 Soft Skill Development Program – Empowering Future Nursing Professionals 🌟

Godavari College of Nursing, Jalgaon successfully organized a two-day Soft Skill Development Program on 1–2 June 2026 under the Barclays Life Skills Program implemented by GTT Foundation.

The sessions were conducted by Mr. Akshay Bhalerao, Corporate Trainer and Leadership Coach (GTT Foundation). The highly interactive program focused on communication skills, personality development, leadership, confidence building, teamwork, professional etiquette, and responsible use of social media.

Through engaging presentations, practical activities, group discussions, and role-plays, students actively participated and enhanced their personal and professional competencies.

The program concluded with students feeling motivated, confident, and better prepared to meet the challenges of their future careers.

"Unmasking the Appeal – Countering Ni****ne and To***co Addiction"
— Theme of World No To***co Day 2026 by the World Health Organization (WHO)

The NSS Unit and NSS Volunteers of Godavari College of Nursing, Jalgaon, observed World No To***co Day on 31st May 2026 at Taj Nagar, Nashirabad. An awareness programme and street skit were organized to educate the community about the harmful effects of to***co consumption and ni****ne addiction.

Through informative sessions and engaging performances, the volunteers highlighted the importance of making healthy choices and encouraged people to adopt a to***co-free lifestyle.
