The Multicultural Centre of SWFL's Big Backpack Event serves children and families in need in SWFL.

The Multicultural Centre of Southwest Florida, a nonprofit 501(c)(3), was founded by Leonardo Garcia and Jim White over two decades ago, with the vision of helping to promote diversity in our Southwest Florida community. In the first year, approximately 200 people attended the first event, which served 50 children in need with back-to-school supplies and backpacks. Our past events have averaged 10

๐Ÿฅณ We are a month and a half away from The Multicultural Centre of SWFL - 25th Annual BIG Backpack Event, and we are SO EXCITED!!!!

๐ŸŽŠ Sunday, July 28th, from 10am - 2pm

๐ŸŽ’ ๐‡๐จ๐ฐ ๐๐จ ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ ๐ ๐ž๐ญ ๐š ๐›๐š๐œ๐ค๐ฉ๐š๐œ๐ค?
*Load up the kids in your vehicle and drive to Fort Myers Skatium Recreation on the event date
*Line up in an orderly fashion (please stay in your vehicles)
*Follow the volunteers' instructions to drive through the line
*Get a backpack for each child in your vehicle, and one bag of groceries from Midwest Food Bank (while supplies last)
*Enjoy the rest of your day and have a great start to the school year!

The 24th Annual BIG Backpack Event was a success. lent a helping hand in distributing over 2,000 backpacks and school supplies for Lee County students ๐ŸŽ’
