Today our students participated in our annual September 11th memorial lesson. We got started with The Right Question Institute’s QFT focusing on a set of images to help us develop priority questions we hoped to answer throughout the day.
Through exploring the timeline and watching the National September 11 Memorial & Museum 9/11 Anniversary Digital Learning Experience we answered many of our questions, but also generated many more. It was a heavy day, but ended on a note of recognition that kindness and acceptance are two things we can contribute to a better tomorrow.

🧠Guest Speaker: Dr. Linda M. Cunning, CEO of New Horizons of SWFL, inspired us to challenge our labels and reach for our dreams
🍜Student Speaker: Hailey C., 10th grade, taught us the art of prepping the perfect cup of ramen and cleaning up after ourselves
🧪STEAM Science Lab: Middle School students continued their exploration of prehistoric cave art by making paints out of natural materials
⚖️Mini Debate: Modern World History students explored impacts of the Mongol Empire and held a mini-debate to determine if Genghis Khan should be remembered as a hero or villain
