Our junior class celebrates Crown Day today, showcasing their innovative spirit and teamwork, and we look forward to their senior year achievements.

We are pleased to announce the induction of a new group into our Collegiate Academy, in collaboration with Florida Gulf Coast University.

Elier, we are proud of you! Congratulations!

With a 5.82 weighted GPA, Elier Cabrera is the salutatorian at Gateway High School - Home of the Eagles. He has decided to attend the University of Florida to major in Biology. Elier then plans to go to dental school to become an Oral Maxillofacial Surgeon.

As a member of the Gateway High Collegiate Academy, Elier has taken all his classes at Florida Gulf Coast University the last two years. At the end of his first three semesters, he was named to the President’s list, which honors students who took at least 12 credit hours and earned a 4.0 GPA. He was active in several university clubs and served as an early college mentor.

At Gateway, Elier founded the Science National Honor Society and served as President of Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA) which helps to prepare emerging leaders. He was always Gateway’s recipient of the Boston Red Sox Foundation $5,000 scholarship.

Congratulations to State Champion Dylan Gourley! He snagged the state title for his performance in the Pole Vault competition. Dylan makes history as the 2nd State Champion in school history. We are so proud of Dylan!

Congratulations Gavin, Class of 2026 Valedictorian!

Future electrical engineer Gavin Griffith is the valedictorian at Gateway High School - Home of the Eagles. He is graduating with a 5.823 weighted GPA and earned his Cambridge Diploma with Distinction, the highest honor.

As a member of the Gateway High School Collegiate Academy, Gavin is dual enrolled at Florida Gulf Coast University. He is a member of the Early Honors College and has earned President’s list honors four times. The President’s List honors students who completed at least 12 credit hours in a semester and earned a 4.0 GPA. Gavin also has more than 300 documented hours of tutoring fellow FGCU students.

While at Gateway, he was a member of the Science National Honor Society, Debate Club, and Varsity Cross Country team during his freshman year. He plans to attend the University of Florida.

Congratulations to our AP, Mr. TreVon Davis! He completed the Principal’s Development Program, ASPIRE! We are so proud of you!
