What an incredible year it has been! 💜 Thank you to our amazing families, community partners, advertisers, readers, my family, friends and our team for believing in this mission and making it all possible.

Join us as we celebrate on August 27th from 6–8 PM at Good Days Adolescent Special Needs Center in Ft Myers! We'd love to connect and celebrate at a resource event and thank the community that has helped make this first year so meaningful.

I made this for my mom, and it really got me thinking… WRITE IT DOWN. ❤️

If you have a loved one with motor loops or verbal loops, writing things down can make a huge difference.

For example, your unreliable speaker may repeatedly say, “Go to the beach, go to the beach.” But what they may actually be trying to communicate is:

☀️ “Won’t it be fun at the beach?”
🌊 “Do you think the weather will be nice?”
🏖️ “I’m excited to go to the beach.”

Because of apraxia and motor planning challenges, the words that come out aren’t always the words they’re intending to say. Their body may get “stuck” in a motor loop, causing the same phrase to be repeated over and over.

Unreliable speech is incredibly complex. It takes patience, consistency, and understanding to help reduce motor loops and support more reliable communication.
