Water was ALMOST zero on 5/25/23. Great news for cutting down on mosquitoes! Big storm expected Saturday with heavy rains.

February 1, 2023 - water levels are up with heavy rains expected. The sewer cover has been underwater judging by the amount of debris on the cover BUT I haven’t had anyone down there to check. Still showing oily sheen from neighborhood storm drains coming in by the houses.
Water level was at 8 foot (plus 2 feet equals 10 feet deep to the drain). You can hear the water flowing.
There must be an abundance of bugs because the Wood Ducks are back. The duck sightings have been reported over at Baxter Ducks. Video in the comments of the frogs present.

January 9, 2023 - water is still up! AND I found the ducks!
7 ducks total. 6 male wood ducks and 1 appeared to be a female Wood Duck.

January 6, 2023 - water was down a foot today to about 9.5 feet (plus 2 feet = 11.5 feet.)
Water continues to flow and all the ducks were here this morning including the first wood ducks of the season!
Stay tuned as I track the water changes.

January 5, 2023 - water level is up today, over 10 feet (plus 2 feet = 12 feet). Water sounds like it’s flowing well.
Also found ducks in this area today. This is where my first project was supposed to start BUT I was told it was too much for a 13 year old so I moved on to moving the ducks out of this area. (I was fairly successful and the ducks are only seen here when the water level is much lower. Generally they visit during the day which means there is some kind of food source that draws them here.)
The path is underwater SO I can’t get to the sewer line cover. Maybe tomorrow BUT I know it’s under water because of the water level. Stay tuned!

December 30, 2022 - unfortunately I didn’t get to get measurements after the big rain storm. Water was extremely high! (Over the walkway). (Pictures toward the end shows the man hole cover with a lot of debris. It was underwater last week. Temperatures have stayed low BUT it was still surprising to see some of the ice that was almost 2” thick. Temperatures have been in the low 50’s during the day.
Water levels today were at 5 feet (plus 2 feet equals 7 feet.)

October 22, 2022 - water level is at 4 feet (plus 2 feet = 6 feet.)
Also managed to remove about 20 pounds of garbage while I was getting the close up measurements.
Lots of natural debris needs to be removed.

Oct. 3, 2022 - water levels were decreasing after Tropical Storm (Hurricane) Ian, water was between 6-7 feet (plus 2 feet = 8-9 feet)
Also photos of a tree down from weather and documented the graffiti.

July 29, 2022 - Dragonfly Pond Works is in the neighborhood to work on most of the ponds and wetlands. Unfortunately, this one is one of two they were informed not to work on, more info soon!

July 10, 2022 - in less than 24 hours!
The last photos show how close it is to covering the sewage line. That wood is stacked on top of the sewer line manhole cover. And the wood means it has been under water at some point.
I’ll try to get a visual on measurements tomorrow. The trees and growth block the view pretty well this time of year. And the mosquitoes 🦟 are ferocious!

July 9, 2022 - water level was 6 feet (plus 2 feet = 8 feet) calling for more rain today, tonight and tomorrow.
