"Perception is a mirror, not a fact".
(A Course in Miracles Lesson 304)

What I see in the world is an outside reflection of an inward condition. One of ACIM's core teachings is that projection makes perception. If I release my subconscious chosen beliefs about what I am (a body in time-space that after birth, is separate from everything else in this world) what I see outside can and will begin to change, because I really am the projector.

(I have been pretending to myself that I am only the perceiver 🧐🫣🤣 and that "separation" cannot be undone, just like Humpty Dumpty falling off the wall and all the king's horses and all the king's men couldn't put him back together again. The good news is Humpty Dumpty is still whole/intact and only imagined he fell off the wall, as soon as he remembers to laugh at that crazy idea, all and any effects of a mistaken thought are undone. It's just like one of those old etchasketch boxes!).

A HOLY (Sublime) INSTANT IN THE FORM OF A CHOCOLATE TOADSTALL

This signature dessert at the 1906 restaurant at Longwood Gardens, about 40 minutes outside Philadelphia, would rank as one of the most delicious ever, and it is a beautifully artistic conception (the central feature is shaped like a toadstool with a thin layer of red ganache over chocolate mousse at the top, and then a white ganache covers the stem which is made of a dark chocolate caramel fudge). At $28 you could say it was expensive OR you could say .. to behold such a fine work of culinary perfection and for it to taste so delicious too (while through the window a beautiful series of hydro fountain dances were performed to music), it was a bargain! When you're looking for perfect Oneness, one can suddenly glimpse how conceptions of both God and his Devilish Twin are unified in the caramel of chocolate heaven. (This comes with my thanks to Alejandro, who bought lunch for us).

LOGICAL PARADOXES HELP TRANSPORT OUR MIND BEYOND DUALITY. When two things that appear to be opposites, such as - holding on or letting go - a bargain or expensive - unify through "and" replacing "or", we find we hold both perspectives as equal. We see the curious, logically inexplicable, but completely sane, joining of two things that previously appeared opposites to us. In this moment, duality dissolves through our own accord, and the space between our thoughts is unified everywhere we look.Ideas of what is wrong and what is right vanish (just like shaking a 1970's Etchasketch), and we glimpse eternity, the Peace of perfect Oneness.

THE DALAI LAMA ON WHY "FIGHTING BACK" IS NOT THE WAY. To fight back indicates/establishes the self belief that attacking can work (that violence could work against violence). It brings an outside conflict within, into your mind or heart (because it is based on holding the thought that physical attack can succeed). But heart-minds cannot attack, they are a reflection of the eternal and changeless, only bodies can appear to attack. In the state of pure heart-mind you are always at peace as One. To bring your heart-mind to peace, release all images and thoughts of the struggle of a body in a world of scarcity (scarcity of time or scarcity of things/space/place, these are simply a case of mistaken identity, as if the body is what is real about you). In your defenselessness your safety lies. Align with your source of being, and find there is no cruelty within you and that none can ever touch you. Peace be with you.

THE DALAI LAMA ON WHY "FIGHTING BACK" IS NOT THE WAY. To fight back is to believe that attack can work and brings an outside conflict within, into your mind or heart (because it is based on the thought that physical attack can succeed and/or be successfully defended against). But heart-minds cannot attack, they are a reflection of the eternal and changeless, only bodies can appear to attack. In the state of pure heart-mind you are always at peace as One.
