Saturday is pancake day. 🥞
These are a slightly modified version of the pancakes we serve for breakfast on fight day. Of course, the food we make for our fighters depends not only on their specific nutrition requirements, but also on their individual tastes. Let's just say we've never had anyone turn these down. 😉
Salted caramel protein pancakes with fat free vanilla Greek yogurt, fresh mango, low-sugar strawberry preserves and sugar free syrup.
615 kcals
45g protein
78g carbs
16g fat

Oatmeal is a lot more fun when it tastes like blueberry cheesecake. 🙂

Clean sweep for the / .tv crew last night.
I'm grateful to get to work alongside these amazing athletes and see the level of dedication and determination they bring every day both to training and competition.
I'm also incredibly proud of how well they all handled adverse fight week situations. Fight camps rarely go 100% to plan, but the back stories are what make the wins all that much sweeter.
Congrats , , and !!
Can't wait for the next step!

Combat sports are brutal and unforgiving.
For most people "having a bad day at the office" means being saddled with a few extra hours of work, having a customer complain or their boss yelling at them. When fighters "have a bad day at work" it could mean a potentially career or life ending injury as well facing the inevitable public ridicule that follows at the hands of their "fans."
Unlike just about any other profession, fghters don't get to postpone a fight when they're having an "off" week. Instead, they step into that cage and do the best they can. Sometimes it works out. Sometimes it doesn't. Regardless of outcome, they deserve respect. There are very few people in this world who can or would do what professional fighters do. The physical and mental toughness it takes to compete in this sport at high levels of something very few people, including athletes from other sports, can even begin to understand, let alone match.
Last night didn't go the way we planned. Regardless, I couldn't be prouder of my guy; just like I am of all of the fighters I work with.
