CSU's Rocket Team started out as a small group of 4 senior mechanical engineering students in August of 2014. The team competes at the Intercollegiate Rocket Engineering Competition (IREC), which headlines the larger Spaceport America Cup event in New Mexico every June. We are the only team representing Colorado in this competition, which

Group photos from this year!

As the end of the year is quickly approaching here’s a recap of some of the things our club has accomplished this year. We launched our Active Fin Stabilization rocket with a successful fin stabilization. We had over half our club build and launch rockets and had five people get their Level 1 certification. We got to hear from various speakers about the industry and life after CSU. Overall we had a great year full of rockets!

Good morning, all-
Meeting postponed to next week in light of Edays, the Space Symposium, and the CO Space Grant Consortium this weekend.

Quick announcements:
⦁ Kenny Reisbeck on the IREC team could use some help with payload. Specifically testing electronic components. There's also an antenna question they're trying to resolve, so if that's your schtick, consider emailing him at [email protected].

⦁ We just got the bill from our last launch. Garon and I will be looking at what $$ we have remaining before next meeting. If you'd like to chime in about where the funds go next semester, please come to the next meeting (4/26) and we'll all discuss

⦁ ...Officer positions for Fall 2023. I'm not getting any younger. Thinking of retiring and moving to Florida, and Garon is leaving us for a career. We'll talk about that 4/26

Good luck- we're only 24 days to the end of the line (including weekends) 🙂
(pic of our crew at last year's Edays, hope to see you there!)
