On Thursday, September 17, Boltz is hosting the Cate Withrow Memorial Citizen’s Race at 4:30pm in honor of Boltz science teacher and running coach Cate Withrow. Registration is limited to the first 285 people who sign up. Proceeds from the $10 registration fee will go to the , a memorial fund created to help students in the Poudre School District overcome money troubles and pursue their educational goals. Calling all middle and high school and creators in Colorado’s 2nd Congressional District!

The Office of U.S. invites you to participate in the 2026 Congressional App Challenge. Submissions are due by 10:00 AM on October 26, 2026.

Since 2015, the Congressional App Challenge has invited students to compete against their peers by building an application (App) for desktop, web, tablet, mobile or other devices. The challenge is designed to promote innovation and engagement in computer science.

The Congressional App Challenge is open to all middle and high schoolers in the 2nd Congressional District.

The competition gives students hands-on experience in coding, creative problem-solving and is a strong addition to their resume for college and careers alike!

The winning app will be on display in the U.S. Capitol.

As a part of the Congressional App Challenge, our office hosts an annual App-a-thon where competing students can work on their apps with local experts. This takes place on a weekend in October.
