Taneycomo Chapter had the Chaplain of Silver Dollar City and former Air Force Chaplain as the program for our September chapter meeting. His talk outlined the history of chaplains throughout US history, beginning with the first Continental Congress and continuing through today. He is pictured below with chapter Regent, Shirley Tolar, holding an antique certificate given to him by our chapter as a speaker gift.

A Liberty Tree was planted in Forsyth to celebrate America's 250th birthday on April 20, 2026. We joined with the Forsyth Garden Club and Forsyth High School MC-JROTC to dedicate this special tree to honor our past Patriots and to encourage the nurturing of Liberty for the future. Thank you to the Forsyth Garden Club and the Forsyth High School MC-JROTC for your participation in today's program and your dedication to our nation's liberty.

In the last photo Taneycomo Chapter members are holding signs saying "I am the Descendant of Patriot _____" and with the names of their ancestors who served in the Revolutionary War.

Do YOU have a Patriot in your ancestry?
