Tomorrow, September 3, is a Forney ISD Future Ready Day! We encourage students to begin thinking about their future goals and aspirations by showing support for college, career, and military pathways.

Students may wear jeans with a college, university, or military shirt. As a reminder, jeans should be school appropriate with no holes, rips, or tears. We look forward to seeing our students represent the many exciting opportunities that await them beyond graduation!

⚽️🤖 Robo Soccer is in action! Our 8th grade Coding & Robotics students in Mrs. Naughton’s class put their engineering skills to the test as they assembled and modified their robots to complete a specific task. Students designed attachments, documented their ideas in engineering notebooks, and used an iterative design process to test, improve, and try again. We love seeing creativity, problem solving, and teamwork come to life! 💚

Things got a little MESSY in 6th grade science today!

Our 6th graders put their learning to the test with an Oobleck Lab as they explored the characteristics of matter! 🔬 Students observed, touched, tested, and described Oobleck to investigate its physical properties and how it behaves under different conditions.

Is it a solid? Is it a liquid? 🤔 That was all part of the investigation!

Hands-on, a little messy, and full of discovery...exactly how we like science at the Academies!

This week, our Entrepreneurship Academy students took an insightful tour of the OC to explore spatial design in action.

During their walk-through, these young entrepreneurs observed how physical spaces function, paying close attention to traffic flow, layout, and how people navigate shared environments.

It was inspiring to see them practice design thinking and learn how intentional layout choices support daily learning and collaboration. These real-world observations will serve as the foundation as students create their own blueprint maps and prepare project pitches in the coming days.
