HELLO TFS Class of 1979!! I’ve just seen 2 people hawking TFS Class of 1979 shirts on the 1979 class FB page. I DO NOT KNOW THESE TWO so, I’d suggest, STRONGLY, NOT to buy from these clowns.

Being on 2 reunion committees, Im familiar wirh pretty much all of our class, whether we were friends in HS or not, plus I have the class list of graduates and ALL of these asshats are not on that list.

SO…move on folks and DO NOT CLICK ON THEIR LINK!!!

UPDATE: Seems there are more than two, they are pulling names from prolly the Class site, tagging about 7-8 classmates, hawking these shirts.

Hello TFS Class of 1979!! A very good idea was brought to my attention by Robin Thompson the other day regarding a Class of ‘79 get together on Friday 9/29 at the Lansing Autumn Fest at Fox Pointe in downtown Lansing. I thought that was a great idea SO….

Whomever would like to come out on hopefully a very nice Friday evening is welcome to do so! This will be a very informal get together, basically just to reconnect, chat, catch-up, have a few beverages of choice, grab a bite to eat, etc. Say at 7 pm?

Please SPREAD THE WORD to other classmates that I may not be connected to on FB and let them know as well. This worked VERY well for our 40th Reunion so let’s see if we can get a sizable group out for this!!

Hello All!! Unfortunately I have some sad news to pass along and I’ve been given approval to post this.

It is with deep regret that I’ve found out that Denny Sidke has been diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer. I understand that he’ll be going for more test this coming week in Chicago, but PLEASE keep Denny and his family in your prayers going forward.

On a personal note; I hadn’t seen nor spoken to Denny since HS, but when we had the wake for my mom in Lansing last August, Denny, Ray Schroeder, and Dr. Keith Pitchford (as many other classmates did as well), made the time to stop in to pay their respects. This is something that I will forever appreciate and never forget. Prayers for you my friend. Stay strong.

We skinned our knees together, wrote notes, rode bikes, ate pumpkin seeds.

Went to the beaches, crammed in cars and experienced firsts ... pinky swore secrets we have still kept until our memory will no longer recall them.

It was great seeing everyone, if only we could linger a little longer. What seemed like forever 40 years ago is a moment in time today.

Already there have been suggestions for 2029 God willing.

Keep the Rebel Faith until we meet again.

Due to inclement weather, the Varsity game has been moved up to 5:30!!! Spread the word please so we can notify as many people as we can with the short notice. Thanks and hope to see a LOT of you tomorrow!!

Dave Price our pastor has a tour of our alma mater at 1 (United Methodist Church ~ next door) Pizza (nominal cost.)

Green room is courtesy of James Todd & Brian Churilla at Mancinos 8-11 Friday. Strictly classmates only {enforced} as beer, wine & light eats provided. Homecoming game free to 1979ers.

Open to all who wish to join us for the cash bar after eight at Lencioni’s in Lynwood Saturday night.

We’re going to party like it’s 1979!

Bring your pocketbook. 50/50 for our 50th nest egg.

Covert activity that may include graffiti in the wee hours Friday. The Rock may be sporting a new look.

Bring Cash! There will be a raffle to help sweeten the pot for our 50th reunion nest egg. Look for Karen (Renick) Parker and Lani (Renick) Strachan who will be coming around to collect.

Also, Dave says those who are joining us after dinner may start gathering as early as 8ish.

We have reached the grey area (yes, one our colors) where the game has to be called.

We have a tentative number of 108 for dinner, if you have not yet paid and plan to come please give us an indication.

The doors will open to those who wish to only stop by for a drink at 9:00 PM. After all it is a cash bar.

Jeff Rosinia will be providing music.

Saturday, Dave Price is giving a tour of our alma mater. Meet him at the United Methodist church across the parking lot at 1. There will be pizza.

James Todd and Brian Churilla have invited us to Mancino’s Friday for beer, wine & snacks at 8.

The homecoming game Friday evening is free to classmates.
