Sometimes an abundance of caution isn't really necessary! The forecast may have lied a little bit, but we got some great footage of our '26-'27 Fordland Band showcasing what they learned throughout Band Camp.

This is a fantastic group and we hope you enjoy what they have to share!

So proud of our Fordland Band!

Students participated in the Music in the Parks festival over the weekend, performing Friday night at Northwest High School, spent the day at Six Flags on Saturday, and attended the awards ceremony that evening.

It's always my favorite trips when students get to spend time as a community, not just performing. There's so many incredible kids in this group with so much personality, I had an absolute blast in the park with these guys! We have a message app that we can post pictures in, so I've attached some of the ones the students took throughout the day!

Our students got 3rd in our category and won the Esprit Decor Award, which is given to one group throughout the whole festival that exibits incredible citizenship, responsibility, and passion! I'm really glad that other people also recognize how hard these kids work and how passionate they are!

Congratulations to Maggie Brooks on earning 17th chair in the All-State Band!!

Earning a performance seat in the All-State Band is one of the most rigorous tasks and highest honors that a high school band student can achieve. It is proof of many years of consistent hard work and dedication to their instrument. In her audition, Maggie competed against over 170 of the best clarinet players in the state of Missouri in two blind auditions. The top 24 auditions get the honor of performing in the 2026 All-State Band at the Missouri Music Education Association Conference in January, rehearsing challenging musical selections with incredibly renowned directors and the most skilled high school students in the state.

We're so proud of Maggie and her consistent hard work, growth, and dedication to her instrument and the Fordland Band! If you see her, make sure to congratulate her on this massive accomplishment!
