Inspired Minds Certified Regular & Special Education teacher I am a certified regular and special education teacher. I have been tutoring for 16 years.

I have 15 years experience teaching in the public school sector. I taught special education grades K-3 for 7 years and then 1st grade inclusion for 8 years. I specialize in early intervention, phonemic awareness, phonics, reading fluency, special needs, and math. I have a passion for helping kids with and without disabilities succeed in school. I get asked a lot, What are some things I can do at home to help my child?
📚Word building activities are one of many ways to help struggling emergent readers. In this activity students are given a set of letter cards and asked to create a series of words in a specified sequence.
🖍️Making words is one of my favorite activities that I have used and seen success with my entire teaching career. It’s one of those tried and true strategies. It is also very engaging and students love this activity!
