This week's storytime video is LIVE on YouTube! ✨"What do you do with an idea? Especially an idea that's different, or daring, or just a little wild? Do you hide it? Walk away from it? Do you pretend it isn't yours? This is the story of one brilliant idea and the child who helps to bring it into the world. As the child's confidence grows, so does the idea itself.

This is a story for anyone, at any age, who's ever had an idea that seemed a little too big, too odd, too difficult. It's a story to inspire you to welcome that idea, to give it some space to grow, and to see what happens next. Because your idea isn't going anywhere. In fact, it's just getting started."

We're back with another Elephant & Piggie story, now LIVE on our YouTube channel 🥳 It is rare to find books that Ruby and I both enjoy reading over and over again. Mo Willems' series about these fun and funny friends hits that sweet spot--Ruby was laughing out loud the whole way through this one! In "Can I Play Too?", Gerald and Piggie are set to play a game of catch when a new friend asks to play, too. The friend finds it difficult to join in, but Piggie reworks the plan to ensure that their new friend can be included. These two are a seriously sweet pair and I'm looking forward to collecting every one of the books! Do you have a favorite Elephant & Piggie story?!

I have a confession. I've been bingeing on snacks and Ozark instead of editing this week's episode 😑 I know we are in a fortunate position during this pandemic, but it has still been pretty exhausting entertaining a precocious child all day every day! Stay tuned--a new episode will be with you no later than tomorrow and I'll be sure to gather my discipline up to deliver each Tuesday 😅

NEW EPISODE is LIVE on the Tube 🥳 "I Am Human" is a comforting and optimistic book that will help open conversations about kindness, thoughtfulness, and empathy. It keeps it real, acknowledging that we're not always perfect, but that is as much a part of being human as learning from and atoning for those mistakes. This is a hopeful book about what it means to be connected--to yourself, others, and the world.

🎉 LIVE! now on our YouTube channel 🎉 The Last Stop on Market Street is a tender story told in lyrical prose that follows Nana and her grandson, CJ, on a trip through their vibrant city. We don't learn their destination until the end, but on their journey, the teaching moments are plentiful. Through his grandmother’s pure heart and gentle wisdom, CJ learns about having gratitude for what he has, the diversity and uniqueness around him, appreciation of music and beauty, kindness, generosity, seeing the good in things that may seem unsavory on the surface, and helping others. The story is charming, propelled by beautiful illustrations, and is a lovely vehicle for spurring essential conversations with children.

We decided to leave England for the US to wait out the ‘rona storm with our family. Ruby is having SO much fun with her uncles (my younger brothers) that I’ve struggled to get her to sit down to record an episode! I will never force her, so please excuse my apologies for the delay. The next episode is now recorded and waiting to be edited. I’ll update as soon as it’s ready. For now, enjoy the little songbird and have confidence that spring will come again 💕

Here’s a funny clip from filming this week’s episode, which I cannot pry from my computer’s claws 😭 I’m having tech difficulties, so the new episode won’t be up today. Please check back tomorrow & in the meantime, go subscribe and catch up previous episodes!
