Floyd Central has a lot to celebrate from this past weekend!

Congratulations to the Lady Highlanders basketball team on winning regionals this past Saturday for only the 2nd time in school history. They move on to semi-state Saturday where they play Lawrence Central at Jasper at 10:00. We need a big student section so let’s get the Kilt Krew out in full force. If students need a ride to the game or a ticket to the game, see Coach Hickey in C102. We are working to see if we have enough interest to take a fan bus and if we can get a sponsor to buy student tickets. Go Lady Highlanders!

Congratulations to the NJROTC Rifle Team for winning the Navy National Precision Rifle Championship this past weekend for the second year in a row. Team members are Ysabelle Martinez, Megan Fondy, Lacy Schilmiller, Logan Hall, Emma Velten, Catherine Sorg, Elizabeth McClelland, Joshua Gauntt, and Evan Carroll. Lacy Schilmiller is ranked 1st in the nation and Ysabelle Martinez is ranked 2nd in the nation. They will now compete in the All Services National Championship next month. Congratulations Cadets and good luck next month!

Congratulations to the Floyd Central Winter Percussion Ensemble on earning 1st place at the IPA Invitational at Noblesville High School on Saturday. They perform next at their home show at FC this Saturday, February 21. Congratulations to Winter Percussion on a great start to the season!

Congratulations to the Floyd Central Highlander and Emerald Guards! The JV program was 1st out of 28 groups and the Varsity program was 1st out of 11 groups at Zionsville Community HS last Saturday.

Congratulations to wrestler Spencer Fain for placing 4th this past weekend at Semi-State. He will compete at the Indiana State Finals this Friday at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
