It's ! Mrs. Julia Hott teaches Trigonometry, AP Calculus, Advanced Math, and Finite at Floyd Central High School.

Mrs. Hott loves teaching because she simply loves her students. She enjoys seeing them each day, inspiring them to believe in themselves and know they can do hard things, watching their growth throughout the year, and getting to know the amazing people they are becoming.

As a special thank-you, the Kolton Kaiser Foundation is gifting a $50 Amazon gift card for your classroom or supplies. Thanks to The Slice, there’s also a $20 gift card to enjoy!

Thank you, Mrs. Hott, for helping your students tackle challenges, believe in themselves, and discover what they’re capable of!

As we welcome students back for the 2026–2027 school year, our teachers have been hard at work preparing classrooms, engaging in professional development, and becoming familiar with new policies to ensure a successful start to the year.

A special thank you to the Floyd Central PTO and SGT Rose with the Indiana Army National Guard for providing breakfast and helping us kick off the school year on a positive note. Your support is truly appreciated!

As a reminder, Floyd Central High School will be implementing a “Bell to Bell, No Cell” policy this year. Students are expected to keep cell phones and other personal electronic devices powered off and stored in their backpacks or purses throughout the instructional day. This change is designed to maximize learning, reduce distractions, and increase student engagement in the classroom.

Parents and students are also asked to review the student drop-off plan before arriving on campus to help ensure a safe and efficient start to each school day. Please follow the designated traffic pattern shown in the attached map and allow extra time during the first few days of school.

Let’s make it a fantastic first day, Highlanders!
