Lanier Christian Academy

K-12 Christian School located in Flowery Branch, GA accredited by Advanced Ed & ACSI. We were close in proximity, but had different educational approaches.

In the fall of 2016, North Georgia Christian School and Heritage Academy unified to become Lanier Christian Academy. Heritage Academy had been in operation for more than 30 years implementing the University Model. Their students would come to school 3 days per week and work from home during the other 2. North Georgia Christian School had been in operation for over 30 years as well. NGCS was starte

d by the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Gainesville, GA and originally named Westminster Christian School. In 2008, WCS became North Georgia Christian School and began operating independently from Westminster Presbyterian Church. In 2015, the leaders of each school began to meet and prayerfully consider coming together. Each school on its own was seeing success and graduating excellent students. Some families had individual children in each school because of the natural fit for each student. It became clear that bringing the schools together would take an act of God. God indeed moved and Lanier Christian Academy became 1 of only 2 schools in the United States that offers a traditional and university model on one campus. Parents have the choice to give their students a Biblical Worldview education that best fits their learning style, their family situation, their schedule, and their home. The academic models both take place in the same space but with different schedules and approaches. Both models attend chapel services and discipleship groups. Families in Northeast Georgia now have an educational choice centered in a Biblical Worldview, with an instructional approach that can be the best fit for each individual student. Throughout the entire unification process we could see that the Lord was guiding our steps. Bringing both schools together on one campus was quite the undertaking. We were able to eliminate the costs associated with renting two different facilities and find economies of scale by occupying Chestnut Mountain Church. CMC was very flexible with us when we needed to make renovations to their facility in order to accommodate the size of our school. It was incredible to see the unity between the employees of both schools as we sat down to clarify the vision of what LCA was to become. God’s purpose for our students was always the priority of our people. We believe the Lord has been preparing LCA over these past three years in order to fulfill His plans for His school. In the 4 years that Lanier Christian Academy has been providing top notch Biblical Worldview Education to its families we have served over 500 families with over 800 students, and launched 121 graduates into colleges all over the country. We have a vision for these families and students to be equipped to impact this world for Christ. By offering two models of education we are able to best serve the diverse academic needs of our families and community.

Lightning Strikes! What a night for our varsity boys! Lanier Christian Academy brings home its first win of the season, beating Horizon Christian 51-30!

We are incredibly proud of the heart, determination, and unity this team showed on the field. A new season. A new chapter. Thank you, Coach Blake Anderson and staff, for leading these young men. LET’S GO, LCA! 💙💚

LIGHTNING FOOTBALL IS BACK!
A new season. A new chapter. And we are READY.
Friday night, our Lightning kick off the 2026 season on the road at Horizon Christian!

After back-to-back state championships, Lightning Football enters a new chapter this season as we make the move to 9-man football. Athletic Director Blake Anderson has stepped in to lead the program, and renewed excitement and energy surround this team. As Coach Anderson told the Gainesville Times, “It’s fast, and it’s exciting.” And we are ready for both!

Nine-man football brings familiar rivalries from our middle school program, plenty of competition, and a new opportunity for our Lightning to compete for region and state titles. Most of all, we are excited to watch these young men take the field, compete together, and represent LCA.

The Gainesville Times recently caught up with Coach Anderson to talk about the move to 9-man football, this year’s team, and what Lightning fans can expect this season. 💙💚

We have LOTS of new faces around LCA this year… and we thought we should start with the shortest ones. Meet our SHORT STAFF!

Our newest Kindergarten Lightning are officially part of the LCA family, and we think they are settling into their new roles quite nicely.

But they aren't the only ones who are new around here…

Last Friday, we kicked off another year of All Pro Dad. We love creating opportunities for our LCA families to connect, and All Pro Dad does just that. Each month, dads and their student(s) come together before school to share breakfast, talk through a character lesson, and, most importantly, spend intentional time together.

We are so grateful for our dads and the important role they play in the lives of their children. Thank you for making our launch party such a great morning. We’re looking forward to another wonderful year of All Pro Dad at LCA!

One of our favorite summer projects! If you’ve been in the LCA lunchroom, you may have noticed it looks a little different! Over the summer, an LCA parent brought this incredible mural to life, and the details are wonderful!

She took the beautiful view of Chestnut Mountain and brought it inside. The details are AMAZING! The more you look, the more you notice. We especially love how she worked Know. Grow. Show. and our LCA vision right into the landscape.

Mrs. Babb, thank you for sharing your talent with us and creating something so special for our students and families to enjoy every day. We absolutely LOVE how it turned out!

Volleyball season has officially started! Saturday was a great start for our Lightning! Our Varsity team hosted its annual Early Bird Tournament, played hard, and brought home the first win of the season!
Our Middle School girls also had a great day at the MS jamboree. They played so well, and we couldn’t be more excited to see what this season holds! 💙💚

Last Friday, our LCA family gathered for our very first Faithful Friday of the year. Parents came together to pray over our students, teachers, families, and our school. We are so thankful for an LCA community that believes in the power of prayer and is committed to covering our school in prayer throughout the year.

A special thank you to Pastor David Wenger from Hopewell Baptist Church for joining us and leading us in prayer. We are so grateful for the time you spent with us and for helping us begin this school year right.
